Contraindications:
This material is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergic reaction to plastics.

Caution:
Excessive heating time during thermoforming will cause plastic to sag with possible risk of injury to operator.

Zendura is provided pre-dried in high barrier packaging and should be thermoformed within 15 minutes of opening its protective pouch.

1. The model should be well cured and dry.

2. The model should be trimmed to be around 20-25mm (3/4'—1') high.

3. Assemble any specialized attachment geometry to the model.

4. Fill in any holes or undercuts with blockout material and let dry.

5. Suggested: Coat the model with mold release agent to prevent the appliance from sticking to the model and let dry.

1. Turn on the thermoformer and enter correct code or heating time for Zendura sheet (see chart below).

2. Thermoform using a pressure of 4 bar (60 psi) or above. A higher pressure is preferable.

3. Preheat the thermoformer before placing the model on the platform.

4. Open foil pouch. Place the Zendura sheet on the thermoforming frame.

5. Swing the heating element over the Zendura sheet to begin heating until the sheet is ready to be formed. The sheet is ready to be formed when it sags 12mm to 20mm (½” to ¾”).

6. Move the heating element away from the sheet.

7. Toast 11 titanium keygen mac torrent. Form Zendura sheet over the model with pressurized air and allow the part to cool before handling.

8. Trim and finish the appliance (see next section).

9. Wash Zendura appliance with mild soap such as 2% Liquinox and rinse well with water before delivering.

1. Cut Zendura appliance off the model using a trimming wheel or a twist drill (1mm diameter for Zendura material). Operate the trimming wheel or twist drill at around 35,000 rpm and cut as close to the finished outline of the appliance as possible. (We suggest leaving at least 3mm of the gingiva.)

2. Trim off extra parts with crown & bridge scissors or trimming burs.

3. Polish the edges of Zendura appliance with an edge polisher at a speed of around 10,000 rpm.

4. Rinse Zendura appliance with cool water and mild soap before delivering.

Note: Heating times vary between different machines.

Scheu Ministar Repair Manual Parts

  • If the plastic doesn’t form well to the model, add 5 seconds on heating time until conformation is acceptable.
  • If plastic forms webs or folds, reduce heating time until webbing does not occur.

Note: Since Zendura is engineered to have exceptionally high strength, learning to fabricate appliances with this material may require some experimentation. We encourage you to visit www.ZenduraDental.com/pages/resources for tips on trimming and finishing this material.

FAQ

No, you can only process material with a diameter of 125 mm in SCHEU-DENTAL pressure moulding machines. File content conversion in sap pi at receiver 2. Make sure to use the correct material size to avoid any problems during pressure build-up. The rim of a too small blank gets pulled out from the clamping of balancing and locking ring. Thus, a precise and correct thermoforming result is not ensured.

Maybe there is a pellet on the edge of the model cup between material and clamping ring. Interrupt the thermoforming process, taking care the model cup rim is absolutely clean before closing the pressure chamber.

Leaking of air usually does not affect the thermoforming result, because the compressor is constantly supplying air. Nevertheless, you should check the following:

When working on the model platform,

  • ensure the model is placed flush with the surface of the model platform. If it's not, trim the model flat or embed it into the pellets.
  • sharp edges may have damaged or torn the material. If this is the case, remove the sharp edges on the model.
  • the material may have moved when being clamped. In this case, clamp a new blank and restart the thermoforming process.
  • the balancing ring may have got stuck. In this case, remove the balancing ring, clean, grease and reinsert it. Ensure it is freely movable!

When embedding the model into the pellets, sharp model edges may cause perforation mainly of thin material.

No, this is not possible. However, depending on the series of your pressure moulding device, you can set an individual heating time using the “clock” symbol on the keyboard of your device or by using the “+” and “-” buttons. Please refer to the manual of your device to find out which option applies to your device. The operation manual of the current series of our pressure moulding machines can be found on this site under 'Further Information' for download. Operation manuals of previous device series are available under SERVICE on top of this web site.
